Be Careful With Your Web Hosting
I was so frustrated with a big name hosting company today and this video tells you why.

NOTE: WHILE I MAY IN THE FUTURE, AT THE TIME THIS VIDEO WAS RECORDED I HAVE NO AFFILIATE ASSOCIATIONS WITH THE HOSTING COMPANIES I RECOMMENDED IN THIS VIDEO. YOU CAN CONTACT ME FOR INFORMATION ON MY HOSTING.

  1. FYI, regarding SSL, Hostmonster is also charging a premium per month for SSL. I had to check my calendar to verify that it's actually 2018.
Oh, and a nice Galilean thermometer up there on the top shelf. I used to have one of those (can't remember whatever happened to it). I need to grab a new one.

  2. Holy crap! Is that TI-85 calculator you pulled out? That is awesome! I used to love that thing in High School. I used to program it to run these cool special graph effects using calculus/diffyq's etc. Loved those times in my life!

  3. I use a different web hosting service than GoDaddy, oh wait GoDaddy should be ExpensiveDaddy. And about my web hosting, i have a Canadian company and a Canadian server since i am in Canada.

  4. I ran into this so many times with Non-Profits here in Canada. Rarely was I high enough up in the chain to make them change to something else. I was able to change their plans at least. Go-Daddy SSL is such a ripoff.

I've been using Dreamhost for over a decade now, they've been pretty good for smaller sites and allow lets encrypt and is pretty easy to set up. I'm kind of curious of what you think of them, have you ever had to deal with Dreamhost?

  5. Off topic: I'm seeing that Steve Gundry doctor ad all over the place and I researched him so this is a warning to you guys out there. His products do nothing and it's almost impossible to get your money back. So said the reviews I found on his Vital Red stuff. ON topic: who do you recommend to host a website? What about the new WiX one?
